The race to be the Monday night total viewers leader was a tight one between two Disney-owned networks, ABC (10.15 million from 8-11 p.m.) and ESPN (10.42 million from 8:15-11:40 p.m.). The night’s most-watched TV telecast was the fall’s top freshman hit, ABC’s “The Good Doctor” (10.595 million viewers).
ESPN did again dominate all Monday demos with the “Monday Night Football” matchup of Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs, which posted a 6.32 household rating, 3.51 adults 18-49 rating (5.00 males 18-49) and a 2.96 adults 18-34 rating (4.23 males 18-34).
The debut edition of Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle” hosted by frequent FNC contributor Laura Ingraham earned positive results, winning the 10-11 p.m. hour among all cable news programs. “The Ingraham Angle” bested the usual cable news leader within that hour — MSNBC’s “Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell” — in total viewers (3.27 million vs. 2.6 million), households (2.2 rating vs. 1.8 rating) and the key news demographic of adults 25-54 (0.52 rating vs. 0.51 rating).
