Monday Overnights: ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Leads ABC to Victory

Respectable Performance for CBS Special 'Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Get McCartney'

-Ratings Breakdown:
ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise” topped the evening, with a 3.7 rating/6 share from 8-10 p.m. Comparably, that bested competing “American Ninja Warrior” on NBC (#2: 3.2/ 5) by 16 percent, and it led the network to Monday overnight victory (despite recent entry “The Proposal” slipping to a third-place 1.9/ 3 at 10 p.m.). Comparably, “The Proposal” trailed “Elementary” on CBS (#1: 2.5/ 5) by 24 percent.

In the specials department on CBS was “Carpool Karaoke”: When Corden Get McCartney,” which scored a respectable 3.1/ 6 in the 8 p.m. hour. But lead-out “Salvation,” which is unlikely to snag a third season renewal, dipped to fourth place from 9-10 p.m. with a 1.8/ 3.

Also original last night was Fox’s veteran “So You Think You Can Dance” at a 2.1/ 4 in the household overnights from 8-10 p.m., and The CW’s combination of “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” (#5: 1.0/ 2 from 8-9 p.m.) and “Whose Line is it Anyway?” (#5: 0.7/ 1 at 9 p.m.).
