Netflix Greenlights ‘GLOW’ for Season Three

Ten New Episodes Ordered

Netflix has renewed its female wrestling comedy “GLOW” for a 10-episode third season. The news comes on the heels of the series snagging 10 Emmy nominations for the first season, including Best Comedy.

Set in Los Angeles in 1985, “GLOW” follows Ruth Wilder (ALison Brie), a struggling actress, as she auditions along with many other women in a fledgling professional wrestling promotion called the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW). She is at odds with GLOW’s director Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron) due to her tendency to overact. When Ruth’s former best friend, retired soap opera actress Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin), arrives at the ring, their confrontation promises to either make or break the show.

Netflix has not confirmed when the third season of “GLOW” will officially begin.
