MONDAY, JULY 30, 2018

Household Rating/Share
ABC: 3.5/ 6, NBC: 3.2/ 6, CBS: 2.2/ 4, Fox: 1.8/ 3, CW: 0.9/ 2

Note: Comparisons to the year-ago evening was not available.

-Ratings Breakdown:
It was another Monday overnight victory for ABC thanks to the “Men Tell All” edition of “The Bachelorette,” which topped the night at a 4.1 rating/7 share in households from 8-10 p.m. ET. Competing “American Ninja Warrior” on NBC, however, rose to a season high 3.3/ 6 in the block. The battle for dominance in adults 18-49 (and all the key young demo groups) should be a competitive one between ABC and NBC.

Despite the lead-in support, ABC’s recently introduced gibberish “The Proposal” finished third in the 10 p.m. hour, with a 2.1/ 4. Comparably, that was 47 percent below the 9:30 p.m. portion of lead-in “The Bachelorette.” And it trailed competing “Dateline” on NBC (#1: 3.2/ 6) and “Elementary” on CBS (#2: 2.4/ 5) by 34 percent and 12 percent, respectively.

Elsewhere, it was Monday overnight business as usual. Fox’s veteran “So You Think You Can Dance” scored a 2.2/ 4 in the household overnights in the 8 p.m. hour, followed by “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” on The CW at a 1.1/ 2. For The CW, consider that respectable. Next on The CW was “Whose Line is it Anyway?” at a 0.7/ 1 in the 9 p.m. half-hour. And sophomore CBS drama “Salvation” continues to inch closer to cancellation with a distant third-place 1.8/ 3 from 9-10 p.m.

The remainder of the evening was repeats.
