-Ratings Breakdown:
NBC led the household overnights on this first Monday in November, besting No. 2 ABC by 10 percent. The network’s “The Voice” (#1 for the night: 6.0 rating/9 share from 8-10 p.m.) beat ABC’s competing “Dancing With the Stars” (#2: 5.1/ 8) by 18 percent. Comparably, “Dancing With the Stars” slipped by 23 percent year-to-year, which did not benefit lead-out sophomore drama “The Good Doctor” (#1: 4.5/ 8 at 10 p.m.), which dropped by 35 percent from the 6.9/12 one year earlier.
Despite the ample lead-in support, NBC’s freshman “Manifest” sunk to a series low 4.2/ 8 at 10 p.m., which held only 74 percent of the 9:30 p.m. portion of “The Voice” (5.7/ 9), Year-to-year, however, this was still a noticeable improved from the 3.3/ 6 for failed drama “The Brave.” And “Manifest” is still a lock for time [period dominance in adults 18-49.
Also at 10 p.m. was CBS’ relocated “Bull” at a 4.4/ 8 (#2), which was 19 percent above struggling lead-in “Magnum, P.I.” (#4: 3.7/ 6). Maybe it was not the best idea to think of anyone else but Tom Selleck as Thomas Magnum.
Earlier in the evening on CBS, the cancellation clock is rapidly clicking on newbie sitcom “Happy Together,” which dipped to a series low 2.9/ 5 (#4) at 8:30 p.m. Comparably, this was 29 percent below lead-in “The Neighborhood” (#3: 4.1/ 7 at 8 p.m.).
Elsewhere, Fox’s combination of dramas “The Resident” (#4: 3.8/ 6 at 8 p.m.) and “9-1-1” (#3: 4.1/ 7 at 9 p.m.) remain an ample improvement from “Lucifer” and “The Gifted” one year earlier. And The CW featured the low-rated pairing of dramas “Arrow” (#5: 0.9/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and “D.C.’s Legends of Tomorrow” (#5: 0.7/ 1 at 9 p.m.).
