Monday Ratings: ‘9-1-1’ and ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ Lead Fox to Victory

Monday 5/17/21 Preliminary Ratings

Total Viewers:
Fox: 5.30 million, NBC: 4.80, CBS: 4.60, ABC: 2.45, CW: 538,000

Adults 18-49:
Fox: 0.8 rating/6 share, CBS: 0.5/ 4, ABC and NBC: 0.5/ 3 each, CW: 0.2/ 1

Fox remains the network to beat on Monday care of dramas “9-1-1” (Viewers: #2, 5.56 million; A18-49: #1 for the night: 0.9 rating/6 share) and spin-off “9-1-1: Lone Star” (Viewers: #2, 5.04 million; A18-49: #1, 0.8/ 5) from 8-10 p.m.

Compatibility was also the observation for the season finales of Monday 8-9 p.m. ET sitcoms “The Neighborhood” (Viewers: #2, 5.56 million; A18-49: #2, 0.7/ 5) and “Bob Hearts Abishola” (Viewers: #2, 0.7/ 5). But the Eye net’s insistence that Monday 10 p.m. drama “Bull” is still a hit was clearly not visible with the season-ender at 4.87 million viewers (#1) and a mere 0.4/ 3 in adults 18-49 (#2). Lead-in “All Rise” earned its cancellation strips with just 3.73 million viewers (#2) and a 0.5/ 3 in the demo (#3t) at 9 p.m.

Also in the Monday 10 p.m. was ABC’s “The Good Doctor” (Viewers: #2, 3.71 million; A18-49: #1, 0.6/ 4), which will remain in the time period next season, and NBC’s still on-the-fence “Debris” (Viewers: #3, 2.45 million; A18-49: #3, 0.3/ 2). Based on these fast affiliate ratings it is time to let it go.

Elsewhere, NBC was wise to pare “The Voice” (Viewers: #1, 5.98 million; A18-49: #2t: 0.6/ 4 from 8-10 p.m.) to one edition next season. ABC featured a repeat of animated theatrical “Monsters, Inc.” (Viewers: #4, 1.82 million; A18-49: #4, 0.4/ 3 from -8-10 p.m.). And there was not much you could say about The CW with its pairing of “All American” (Viewers: 667,000; A18-49: 0.2/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and “Black Lightning” (Viewers: 409,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1). Both, of course, finished a distant fifth in their time periods.
