Monday Ratings: ‘9-1-1’ Leads Fox to Adult 18-49 Victory

The CW Relocated 'All American' and 'Black Lightning' Left at the Starting Gate

What follows are the fast affiliate ratingss for Monday, October 7, 2019. These results are time period based and are subject to change:

Total Viewers:
NBC: 7.14 million, ABC: 6.14, CBS: 5.55, Fox: 5.46, CW: 913,000

Adults 18-49:
Fox: 1.3 rating/5 share, NBC: 1.2/ 6, ABC: 0.8/ 4, CBS: 0.7/ 3, CW: 0.3/ 1

Key Observations:

-Fox drama “9-1-1,” the definition of an unsung hero, led the network to a Monday 18-49 demo victory. Just renewed lead-out “Prodigal Son,” however, did not benefit from the support.

-The three other Monday newbies — Bob Hearts Abishola” and “All Rise” on CBS and “Bluff City Law” on NBC – continue to struggle to find an audience in this era of “Peak TV” and increased digital consumption.

-NBC’s “The Voice” continues to beat competing “Dancing With the Stars” on ABC by significant proportions.

-There is no way to spin these Nielsen ratings for the season premiere episodes of CW dramas “All American” and “Black Lightening.” As always, it is social media that matters for the network.

-CBS’ fourth-place finish in adults 18-49 is, no doubt, a concern.
