Total Viewers:
CBS: 5.39 million, Fox: 4.74, ABC: 4.69, NBC: 2.52, CW: 525,000

Adults 18-49:
ABC and Fox: 0.6 rating/5 share each, CBS: 0.5/ 4, NBC: 0.4/ 3, CW: 0.1/ 1

In series-premiere news, “American Song Contest” on NBC, hosted by Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg, was off to a lackluster start with 2.89 million viewers (#4) and a 0.5 rating/4 share in adults 18-49 (#3t) from 8-10 p.m. ET. Comparably, that trailed ABC’s “American Idol” (Viewers: #2, 5.15 million; A18-49: #1: 0.7/ 5) by 2.26 million viewers and 29 percent in the demo. And it was below recent fast affiliate time period levels for “The Voice.” Considering most new shows drop 10 to 20 percent in week two, maybe it is time to slow down on all these new network singing competitions.

Minus the lead-in support, recent NBC drama entry “The Endgame” trailed competing “NCIS Hawai’i” on CBS and “The Good Doctor” on ABC at 10 p.m. as follows:

Monday/10 p.m. ET
CBS: “NCIS Hawai’i”
Viewers: 4.96 million (#1), A18-49: 0.5/ 4 (#1)

ABC: “The Good Doctor”
Viewers: 3.76 million (#2), A18-49: 0.4/ 3 (#2)

NBC: “The Endgame”
Viewers: 1.77 million (#3), A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#3)

Earlier in the evening on CBS was the compatible combination of renewed comedies “The Neighborhood” (Viewers: #1, 5.60 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.6/ 5 at 8 p.m.) and “Bob Hearts Abishola” (Viewers: #1t, 5.20 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.5/ 4 at 8:30 p.m.), followed by granddaddy “NCIS” (Viewers: #1 for the night: 6.40 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.5/ 4 at 9 p.m.).

In return news, “9-1-1” on Fox scored a respectable 5.11 million viewers (#3) and a 0.7/ 6 in adults #1t) at 8 p.m. And that led into spin-off “9-1-1: Lone Star”, now at 9 p.m., with 4.34 million viewers (#3) and a 0.5/ 4 (#2t) in the demo.

The CW capped off the night with the pairing of “All American” (Viewers: 618,000; A18-49: 0.2/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and spin-off “All American: Homecoming” (Viewers: 432,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 9 p.m.). Both dramas, of course, finished last in their time periods.
