Netflix Greenlights Sixth — and Final — Season of ‘Lucifer’

Eight Final Episodes Expected

Fantasy drama “Lucifer,” which found life after cancellation on Netflix, has been pickup by the streaming service for a sixth, and final, season. After airing on Fox for three years before being canceled, Netflix revived it for a fourth season in 2018 and announced season five would be the conclusion. But the streamer had a change of plans, and fans have been granted an additional “bonus” season.

From Warner Bros. Television in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television and based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg from DC Entertainment, “Lucifer” follows Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), the Devil, who abandons Hell for Los Angeles where he runs his own nightclub and becomes a consultant to the LAPD. The series is executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Joe Henderson, Ildy Modrovich, Sheri Elwood and KristieAnne Reed.

The expectation for this final season of “Lucifer” is 8 new episodes.
