Oprah Winfrey Becomes a Special Contributor to ’60 Minutes’

Oprah Winfrey will become a special contributor to veteran CBS newsmagazine “60 Minutes,” with her first appearance on the Sunday night broadcast next fall.

“There is only one Oprah Winfrey,” said “60 Minutes” executive producer Jeff Fager. “She has achieved excellence in everything she has touched. Her body of work is extraordinary, including thousands of interviews with people from all walks of life. Now in season 49, “60 Minutes” remains the top-rated primetime newsmagazine at approximately 14 million viewers per week.
