Over 25-Million Viewers for the Annual ‘Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade’ on NBC

NBC’s “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” averaged 21.7 million viewers and a 5.5 rating in coveted adults 18-49 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET, according to Nielsen Media Research, which stands as the highest rated entertainment telecast of this year to-date in both categories. Including an encore telecast, that rose to 25.4 million viewers and a 6.4 in the demo.

Airing out of the parade was the National Dog Show Presented by Purina”, which at 11.2 million viewers and a 2.8 in adults 18-49 ranks second for the year among all entertainment telecasts also in both categories.

Later in the evening on NBC. “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” (2.7 million) and “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (1.5 million) drew their highest total viewers since Thanksgiving 2019.
