Paramount+ Announces Docuseries ‘From Cradle to Stage’

The First of Six Episodes Debuts on May 6

NBC has greenlit six episode non-scripted series “From Cradle to Stage”, which is described as a dynamic personal exploration of the special relationship between successful musicians and their moms. Directed by Dave Grohl and his mother Virginia Hanlon Grohl, the series is inspired by Virginia’s book, “From Cradle to Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars.”

Each episode of “From Cradle to Stage” features a famous performer and their mother, alongside Dave and Virginia, as they take a journey home and explore each artists’ upbringing and the tools they received as a young talent to survive the turbulence of success. The series premieres on Thursday, May 6 with Dan Reynolds (of Imagine Dragons) and Christene Reynolds. Other episodes will feature Pharrell and Dr. Carolyn Williams (May 13), Miranda and Bev Lambert (May 20),  Brandi and Teresa Carlile (May 27), Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine) and Mary Morello (June 6), and Geddy Lee (of Rush) and Mary Weinrib (June 13).
