Production to Continue on HGTV’s ‘Flip or Flop’

Home Renovation Series is the Cable Net's Second Highest-Rated Program

HGTV home renovation series “Flip or Flop” will remain in production despite the separation of husband-and-wife stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa. The couple told People in a statement that they had decided to separate but planned to continue to work together professionally. Debuting on April 16, 2013, “Flip or Flop” follows the couple as they buy a distressed property and renovate it.

Said HGTV in a statement: “We admire and appreciate Tarek and Christina’s great work on “Flip or Flop.” When it comes to matters related to their own family, we respect their privacy and honor any decision that works best for them and their children. HGTV is currently airing episodes of “Flip or Flop,” and the series will continue production as scheduled.”

With an average 2.8 million viewers this season, “Flip or Flop” ranks as HGTV’s second-highest-rated show behind “Fixer Upper,” which averages 4.6 million viewers.
