Ratings Scorecard: Positive Return for ‘The Voice’ on NBC; Respectable Sampling for Lead-Out ‘Debris’

NBC: 6.61 million; Fox: 5.69, ABC: 3.65, CBS: 2.86, CW: 579,000

-Adults 18-49:
NBC and Fox: 0.9 rating/6 share, ABC: 0.8/ 5, CBS: 0.3/ 2, CW: 0.2/ 1

In season premiere news, NBC’s “The Voice” topped the night in total viewers with 7.78 million. Comparably, that bested ABC’s “The Bachelor” (4.51 million) by 3.27 million viewers. Both franchises averaged a 1.1 rating/7 share in adults 18-49, which led the evening.

In series premiere news, NBC sci-fi thriller “Debris” won the 10 p.m. hour, with 4.36 million and a 0.6/ 4 in the demo. Beneficial to the series was that it faced encore telecasts of ABC’s “The Good Doctor” and CBS’ “Bull.”

Elsewhere, Fox dramas “9-1-1” (Viewers: #2: 6.18 million; A18-49: #2: 1.0/ 6 at 8 p.m.) and spinoff “9-1-1: Lone Star” (Viewers: #2: 5.19 viewers; A18-49: #3: 0.8/ 5 at 9 p.m.) were successfully on the map. The CW aired original episodes of traditionally low-rated “All American” (Viewers: #5: 743,000; A18-49: #5, 0.2/ 2 at 8 p.m.) and “Black Lightning” (Viewers: #5, 414,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 9 p.m.). And CBS was in all repeats.
