‘SNL’: ‘Dionne Warwick’ Meets Dionne Warwick

In a skit on the November 6, 2021 edition of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” it was an episode of “The Dionne Warwick Talk Show” hosted by the legendary performer (Ego Nwodim). With the help of her Twitter-assisting niece Brittani (Punkie Johnson), she interviews some of today’s popular performers (her having no clue who they are, of course). In this segment, the guests included Miley Cyrus (Chloe Fineman), Jason Mraz (Kieran Culkin), Ed Sheeran (as himself) and Post Malone (Pete Davidson).

Near the conclusion, Warwick stated “I’m tired of interviewing people who are not icons. Please welcome me.” Then, the real Dionne Warwick appeared. The host asked, “Dionne, why are you perfect?“, to which Warwick replied, “Darling, I’m not perfect. I’m just very, very good.”
