‘SNL’: Lizzo Urges the ‘Please Don’t Destroy’ Trio to Write Her Some Songs

A recorded segment on the April 16, 2022 edition of NBC’s “SNL” (“Saturday Night Live“) featured the “Please Don’t Destroy” comedy trio of Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy. The night’s host and musical guest Lizzo confessed to the guys that she had to perform two new songs, but she had not yet written them. She requested that the guys write the songs for her.

During their brainstorming session. cast member Andrew Dismukes popped in to their office to remind Lizzo she had to come to the stage with those new songs or else he’d “kill” her.
