Ratings Breakdown:
NBC inched past ABC for Monday household overnight dominance thanks to the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Nashville Predators on the “Stanley Cup Final” at a 4.1 rating/7 share in the household overnights from 8-11:15 p.m. ET. Comparably, this is an increase of a hefty 32 percent from the 3.1/ 5 for hockey on the year-ago evening.

In week two news, ABC Shonda Rhimes drama “Still Star-Crossed” slid to a 1.4/ 3 in the household overnights in the 10 p.m. hour, which was 12 percent below the anemic 1.6/ 3 series-opener one week earlier. That 1.6 overnight rating translated into just 2.29 million viewers and a 0.5 rating/2 share in adults 18-49, based on the Live + Same Day data.

Comparably, “Still Star-Crossed” held only 31 percent of the 4.5/ 8 for lead-in “The Bachelorette” (#1: 4.5/ 8 from 8-10 p.m.), which remains close to year-ago levels.

In season-finale news, two episodes of Fox drama “Gotham” could not complete at a 2.2/ 4 from 8-10 p.m. Unfortunately, there is no reason to expect “Gotham” anchoring Thursday next fall (into new dramedy “The Orville”) will do any better.

Elsewhere, CBS populated this first Monday in June with encore telecasts of “Kevin Can Wait” (#3: 3.2/ 6), “Man with a Plan” (#3: 2.9/ 5), “Mom” (#3: 3.1/ 5), “Life in Pieces” (#3: 2.6/ 4) and “Scorpion” (#2: 2.7/ 5). And The CW, also all repeats, aired “Supergirl” (#5: 0.8/ 1) into two episodes (original and repeat) of “Whose Line is it Anyway” (#5: avg. 0.8/ 1 from 9-10 p.m.).
