Inspiration is the Focus; 10-Episodes Ordered

Starbucks has unveiled its first original web content series, which is called “Upstanders” and aims to inspire Americans with stories of compassion, citizenship and civility. The series features podcasts, written words, and video, and will be distributed via the Starbucks mobile app, online, and through the company’s in-store digital network.

There are 10 episodes in the series, which was written and produced by Starbucks Chairman and CEO Howard Schultz along with Rajiv Chandrasekaran, Starbuck’s executive producer and a former senior editor of “The Washington Post.”

Beyond the video episodes, which can be viewed on Starbucks.com/Upstanders, there are also written essays and audio versions of each story that will launch through a weekly podcast.
