Ratings Breakdown:
NBC led the Sunday overnights thanks to the 39 to 38 victory of the Pittsburgh Steelers over the Baltimore Ravens on “Sunday Night Football.” The match-up averaged an estimated 11.6 rating/19 share in the household overnights from 8:30-11:30 p.m. ET (peaking in the 9:30 p.m. half-hour at a 12.0/19).

Football was also particularly advantageous to Fox, with a hefty 14.4/24 in the 7 p.m. hour for an NFL primetime overrun lifting the network to a solid second-place finish. Due to football, Fox’s 8-10 p.m. comedy rotation – “The Simpsons” (#2: 5.3/ 8), two episodes of “Bob’s Burgers” (8:30 p.m.: #4: 2.5/ 4; 9 p.m.: #4: 1.9/ 3) and a 9:30 p.m. installment of “Family Guy”: #4: 2.0/ 3) – was approximate.

Elsewhere, CBS came in third place for the night with its line-up of veteran “60 Minutes” (#2: 7.4/12 at 7 p.m.), canceled freshman drama “Wisdom of the Crowd” (#2: 4.5/ 7 at 8 p.m.), “NCIS: Los Angeles” (#2: 5.1/ 8 at 9 p.m.) and “Madam Secretary” (#2: 4.7/ 8 at 10 p.m.). And ABC featured mainstay “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (#2: 3.0/ 6 at 7 p.m.), a repeat of 2013 animated theatrical “Frozen” (2.7/ 4 from 8-10 p.m.) and 10 p.m. special “Encore!” (#3: 1.2/ 2).
