Household Rating/Share
CBS: 40.9/63, NBC: 1.4/ 2, ABC: 1.3/ 2, Fox: 0.6/ 1, CW: 0.3/ 0

Ratings Breakdown:
Results for the live “Super Bowl LIII” (New England Patriots 13, Los Angeles Rams 3) are estimated, of course. Based on the preliminary household overnight results, it looks like this will not be a record sized audience. “Super Bowl LIII” averaged an approximate 44.9 rating in households. Comparably, that was five percent below the 47.4 rating for the Eagles/Patriots match-up on “Super Bowl LII” on NBC one year earlier. That translated into 103.4 million viewers, which was seven percent below Fox’s broadcast of the game in 2017 (111.3 million – third most-watched “Super Bowl” historically).

The debut of “World’s Best” on CBS, hosted by James Corden, scored an estimated 14.0 household rating from 10:30-11:30 p.m. Comparably, that was 14 percent below the 16.2 rating for the post-“Super Bowl” telecast of NBC’s “This Is Us” (16.2) last year. “World’s Best” is scheduled for two-hours this week in the Wednesday 8-10 p.m. ET block.
