-Percent Change vs. the Year-Ago Week:

Ratings Breakdown:
Fox ruled this sports drenched evening, but keep in mind that the household overnight results for the 10-11:25 ET portion of the final game of “The World Series” is not factored in. Based on the 8-10 p.m. ET portion (which included the 15-minute pre-game), the Boston Red Sox game 5 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers scored an estimated 10.4 rating/16 share in the household overnights. This marks a 13 percent decline from the first two hours of last year’s World Series Game Five between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros (11.9/19). Earlier in the evening the network benefited by a primetime football overrun.
On NBC, “Sunday Night Football” scored an approximate 9.1/15 in households for the primetime portion. The overall game netted a 9.7 rating and a 5.3 rating in adults 18-49. As always, results for any live sporting competition are always approximate.
In what could be an historically low rating in the Sunday 10 p.m. hour for ABC, primetime talker “The Alec Baldwin Show,” featuring conversations with Ricky Gervais and Jeff Bridges, plunged to a 1.2/ 2 in households. Comparably, this was 50 percent below lead-in “Shark Tank” (#4: 2.4/ 4).
Earlier in the evening on ABC was the combination of veteran “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (#3: 3.0/ 5) and unnecessary “Dancing With the Stars Juniors” (#4: 2.8/ 4) from 7-9 p.m.
Elsewhere, CBS was on the overnight map (despite the severity of the sports competition) with its older-skewing combination of “60 Minutes” (#2: 6.4/10), full season-renewed “God Friended Me” (#3: 5.1/ 8), “NCIS: Los Angeles” (#3: 5.1/ 8) and “Madam Secretary” (#3: 4.1/ 7). And The CW had nothing unusual to report with its compatible pairing of “Supergirl” (#5: 1.0/ 2) and recent entry “Charmed” (#5: 0.9/ 1).
