New original and off-network series titles for the month of December will appear on the streaming video services Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu.
The second season of “Transparent” the reigning Golden Globe Award winning series for Best Comedy starring Jeffrey Tambor in his Golden Globe-winning role as a transgendered woman premieres on Amazon on Dec. 11.
Also returning to Amazon this month for their sophomore seasons are the stop-animation family-friendly “Tumble Leaf” (Dec. 12) and the modern-day classical music comedy “Mozart in the Jungle” (Dec. 30) that stars Gael García Bernal, Malcolm McDowell, Saffron Burrows, and Bernadette Peters.
On Netflix, “A Very Murray Christmas” (Dec. 4) stars Bill Murray and features a star-studded ensemble cast including George Clooney, Paul Shaffer, Amy Poehler, Michael Cera, Chris Rock, Maya Rudolph, Jason Schwartzman, Rashida Jones and Miley Cyrus. The special was directed by Sofia Coppola (writer/director of Murray’s “Lost in Translation”).
Adam Sandler’s next movie release is the Netflix exclusive western comedy “The Ridiculous 6” (Dec. 11). The film also stars Will Forte, Taylor Lautner, Steve Buscemi, Danny Trejo, Terry Crews, Luke Wilson, Nick Nolte, Rob Schneider and Jorge Garcia.
Rob Schneider also appears on the Netflix series front with “Real Rob” (Dec. 1), a comedy about a celebrity and his everyday life, a la “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
The 10-part Netflix documentary series “Making a Murderer” (Dec. 18) chronicles the life of Steven Avery who had been convicted then later exonerated of a brutal assault and then became a prime suspect in a new grisly crime.
For kids on Netflix, there will be the second season of “The Adventures of Puss In Boots” (Dec. 11) and the debut seasons of “Glitter Force” (Dec. 18) and “Dawn of the Croods” (Dec. 24).

On Dec. 2, Hulu premieres “RocketJump: The Show”, a documentary series about YouTube filmmaker Freddie Wong and his production team as they create action-comedy short films. RocketJump is the digital studio behind the YouTube hit series “Video Game High School” that ran for three cycles.
The midseason finale of former-Fox-turned-Hulu-original comedy “The Mindy Project” debuts on Hulu on Dec. 8.
Also on Hulu, season one of the offbeat FX single-cam comedy “Man Seeking Woman/strong>” starring Jay Baruchel and produced by SNL creator Lorne Michaels and the eighth season of Bravo reality series “The Millionaire Matchmaker/strong>” — both will be available on Hulu Dec. 7.
