Thursday Ratings: ABC’s ‘Press Your Luck’ Tops Night in Total Viewers; CBS’ ‘Big Brother’ First in Adults 18-49

Given the deteriorating broadcast ratings, ABC’s combination of game shows “Press Your Luck” (Viewers: #1, 3.45 million for the night; A18-49: #1, 0.4 rating/4 share at 8 p.m. ET) and “Generation Gap” (Viewers: #1, 3.32 million; A18-49: #2, 0.4/ 4 at 9 p.m.) should be considered respectable summer formers. Less successful for the alphabet net was a Thursday 10 p.m. edition of “20/20” subtitled “Fatal Flaw”, which dipped to 2.00 million viewers (#3) and a 0.2/ 2 in adults 18-49 (#1t) at 10 p.m. Imagine a 0.2 rating still topping the hour!

On CBS, “Big Brother” led the evening in adults 18-49 with a 0.6/ 7 in the demo at 9 p.m. The remainder of the evening was all repeats.
