Thursday Ratings: MLB Field of Dreams Game Boosts Fox to Prime Time Win

Granted, the two teams involved will not contend for this year’s postseason. And, the sequel is usually never quite the blockbuster as its original.

Nevertheless, MLB’s “Field of Dreams” game featuring the Chicago Cubs’ 4-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds still delivered for Fox, giving the network a rare Thursday night win overall. At 3.1 million viewers, it’s projected to be the league’s most-watched regular-season game of the year.

Despite baseball, the season’s final eviction of the pre-jury phase of “Big Brother” on CBS was the night’s most-watched telecast in total viewers and the key adults 18-49 demographic.
