Tim Burton Plans New ‘Addams Family’ Series

Tim Burton (“The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Edward Scissorhands”) is reportedly developing a new live-action TV series focused on the fictional Addams Family, which originally aired as a half-hour sitcom on ABC from 1964 to 1966. The proposed new series is set in present times and be from the perspective of Wednesday Addams and what the world would look like to her in 2020. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are attached to pen the script and executive produce alongside Burton for MGM Television.

Tim Burton is also reportedly negotiating to executive produce as well as direct all episodes.
