It starred Harvey Korman and Valerie Perrine and ran for six episodes. The series premiere episode featured a cameo by Liberace…Gary (Ted Shackelford) and Val (Joan Van Ark) married for the third time on the 300th episode of CBS’ “Knots Landing” in 1991. Did You Know?:
When it came time for ABC to put together the fall 1985 primetime schedule, the plan was to renew one of the two then freshman sitcoms. One was “Who’s the Boss?,” and the other was “Three’s a Crowd,” the second spin-off from “Three’s Company.” Given its eight season run, “Who’s the Boss?” was obviously the better choice.
