Tuesday 4/06/21 Preliminary Primetime Ratings

Total Viewers:
CBS: 8.04 million, NBC: 3.38, ABC: 1.77, Fox: 1.27, CW: 845,000

Adults 18-49:
CBS: 0.8 rating/5 share, NBC: 0.5/ 4, ABC and Fox: 0.3/ 2 each, CW: 0.2/ 1

It was a clean sweep for CBS care of dramas “NCIS” (Viewers: 9.88 million; A18-49: 0.9 rating/7 share at 8 p.m. ET – #1 in both categories), “FBI” (Viewers: 7.85 million; A18-49: 0.7/ 5 at 9 p.m.) and “FBI: Most Wanted” (Viewers: 6.38 million; A18-49: 0.6/ 5 at 10 p.m.). “FBI” was tied with NBC’s competing “This Is Us” in adults 18-49, with the family drama at a distant second place 4.36 million viewers at 9 p.m. While “This Is Us” does resonate in DVR usage, these results pale in comparison to what it once was.

On ABC, week two controversial competition entry “Pooch Perfect” dropped to just 2.51 million viewers (#2) and a 0.4/ 3 in the demo (#2t) at 8 p.m.). Obviously, that did not benefit the 9-11 p.m. rotation of comedies “black-ish” (Viewers: #3, 1.63 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.3/ 2 at 9 p.m.) and “Mixed-ish” (Viewers: #3, 1.46 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.3/ 2) and the finale of documentary series “Soul of a Nation” (Viewers: #3, 1.26 million; A18-49: #3, 0.2/ 2).

Elsewhere, freshman NBC comedies “Young Rock” (Viewers: #3, 2.55 million; A18-49: #2, 0.5/ 4 at 8 p.m.) and “Kenan” (Viewers: #3, 1.94 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.4/ 3 at 8:30 p.m.) were at typical fast affiliate levels. NBC medical drama “New Amsterdam” finished a distant second in the Tuesday 10 p.m. hour behind CBS’ “FBI: Most Wanted” with 3.53 million viewers and a 0.4/ 3 in adults 18-49. The recent return of “Supergirl” for its final season on The CW (Viewers: #5, 6.98 million; A18-49: #5, 0.1/ 1 at 9 p.m.) remained noticeably below recent entry “Superman & Lois.” And Fox was in repeats.
