Tuesday 4/27/21 Preliminary Ratings

Total Viewers:
CBS: 7.04 million, Fox: 2.46, ABC: 2.38, NBC: 2.23, CW: 775,000

Adults 18-49:

CBS: 0.6 rating/4 share, ABC and Fox: 0.4/ 3 each, NBC: 0.3/ 2, CW: 0.2/ 1

It was a clean sweep for CBS care of Tuesday dramas “NCIS” (#1 for the night: 8.20 million), “FBI” (7.41 million) and spinoff “FBI: Most Wanted.” Each drama won their time periods in adults 18-49 with a 0.6 rating/4 share. The definition of compatibility!

Far less significant in the drama department last night was Fox’s pairing of “The Resident” (Viewers: #2, 3.11 million; A18-49: #2, 0.5/ 3) and “Prodigal Son” (Viewers: #3, 1.81 million; A18-49: #2, 0.3/ 2) from 8-10 p.m. Don’t count either out for next season, however, given their DVR usage.

Elsewhere, recent ABC competition entry “Pooch Perfect” was not so perfect at 2.55 million viewers (#3) and a 0.4/ 3 in adults 18-49 (#3t) in the 8 p.m. hour. That led into low-rated sitcoms “black-ish” (Viewers: #2, 2.01 million; A18-49: #2, 0.3/ 2) and prequel “Mixed-ish” (Viewers: #3, 1,68 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.3/ 2) from 9-10 p.m. Note to ABC: it is time to let “Mixed-ish” go. And critically acclaimed freshman ABC drama “Blue Sky” capped off the night with just 2.61 million viewers (#3) and a 0.3/ 3 in adults 18-49 (#2t). The one bright spot: “Blue Sky” built from its “Mixed-ish” lead-in in total viewers.

On NBC, 8-9 p.m. sitcoms “Young Rock” (Viewers: #3, 2.39 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.4/ 3) and “Kenan” (Viewers: #4, 1.76 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.4/ 3) are not a solution to the network’s sitcom woes. Next was a repeat of “This Is Us” into medical drama “New Amsterdam”, which like basically every primetime network series, is way down this year. It scored 2.98 million viewers (#2) and a 0.3/ 3 in adults 18-49 (#2t) at 10 p.m.

The CW, meanwhile, featured a repeat of “The Flash” into “Supergirl” (Viewers: #5, 778,000; A18-49: #5, 0.2/ 1 at 9 p.m.).
