’25 Words or Less’ Cleared in Over 75 Percent of the Country

New Game Show to Launch in Syndication Next Fall

Upcoming game show “25 Words or Less,” hosted and produced by Meredith Vieira, has been cleared in 75 percent of the country in advance of its debut in Fall of 2019. Launching on the Fox Television Stations, the half-hour game show is sold into 125 markets (including additional station groups, Sinclair, Gray, Hearst, CBS, Scripps, Northwest and Tribune).

Distributed by Twentieth Television, “25 Words or Less” is a collaboration of Lisa Kudrow, Dan Bucatinsky, Mary McCormack, Michael Morris, show-runner John Quinn, and Bruce Sterten, creator of “25 Words or Less” and “Taboo” board games.

The logline: “25 Words or Less” pits two teams comprised of celebrities and civilians against each other in a fast-paced word game with a top prize of 10,000 dollars. In the beginning rounds of the game, after a frenzied bidding session, one team member provides clues to two partners to help them guess a list of five words, using fewer than 25 clue words. In the final round, the contestant who has earned the most points has 60 seconds to get his partners to guess 10 words using only 25 words or less.
