    “AMERICA’S GOT TALENT” BEATS ITS BIG 4 TIMESLOT COMPETITION COMBINED

    “HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT” IS CURRENTLY DELIVERING ITS THIRD MOST-WATCHED TELECAST EVER, SWEEPS THE 10 P.M. HOUR AMONG ABC, CBS & NBC IN EVERY KEY CATEGORY

    Tuesday Primetime Ratings:

    NBC wins Tuesday night, dominating in 18-49, total viewers and every other key measure.

    This is NBC’s 32nd win over the last 34 Tuesdays among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49. In total viewers, it’s NBC’s 13th Tuesday win in a row among those nets.

    “America’s Got Talent” (2.6/11 in 18-49, 12.6 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET):
    · Grows +4% versus last year’s second live performance episode in 18-49 (2.6 vs. 2.5 on Aug. 2, 2016) and +1.0 million persons or +9% in total viewers (12.600 million vs. 11.567 million).
    · Is the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in 18-49 and total viewers.
    · Dominates the time period in every key measure.
    o Beats the ABC, CBS and Fox competition combined in adults 18-49 and total viewers.
    · Will add significant viewership via time-shifting:
    o Last week’s “Talent” increased by +22% in 18-49 (2.84 to 3.47) and more than +2.5 million viewers overall (13.4 million to 16.0 million) going from L+SD to L+3 Nielsens.
    o The increases of +0.63 of a rating point and +2.5 million viewers overall were the night’s biggest L+3 lifts in 18-49 rating and total viewers.
    o In L+7 so far this summer, “Talent” is growing by +36% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.60 to a 3.53) and +3.4 million viewers overall (12.7 million to 16.1 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

    “Hollywood Game Night” (1.1/5 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET):
    · Wins the slot in every key ratings measure among ABC, CBS and NBC.
    · Is currently delivering the show’s third most-watched episode ever, pending updates, behind only behind only the 5.184 for the Season 3 debut on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 10-11 p.m. ET and the 5.495 million for the Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 telecast from 8-9 p.m.
    · Finishes within 0.1 of last week’s telecast in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.2, which was the show’s high since Tuesday Jan. 26, 2016) and is currently growing week to week in total viewers (5.163 million vs. 5.098 million), pending updates.
    · Is close to rounding up to a 1.2 in 18-49 (currently reporting a 1.14 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings),
    · Is tied for the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, behind only “Talent.”

    · In Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, household results were: “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” 1.7/5 with an encore telecast; “Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” 1.9/5 with an encore; and ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 1.3/3 with an encore.

    · In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” 0.6/3 with an encore; “Late Show,” 0.3/2 with an encore; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 0.4/2 with an encore.

    · From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC’s “Nightline” averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

    · From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS’s “Late Late Show,” 1.0/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: “Late Night,” 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; “Late Late Show,” 0.2/2 with an encore.

    · At 1:35 a.m., “Last Call with Carson Daly” averaged a 0.5/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

  2. NBC had a good line up last night. I think Hollywood Game night is a really good show. Jane does a wonderful job. AGT is just a great show with all the talent. Not sure who will win this year.
