  3. FROM ABC

ABC Wednesday Prime (8-11pm – 6.2 million and 1.6/5 in AD18-49): With its lineup returning from the prior week’s preemption (Presidential Debate) against Fox’s World Series GM2, ABC was the #1 non-sports net on Wednesday in Adults 18-49 (1.6/6) with Modern Family as the #1 TV series (2.2/7). In fact among Adults 18-49, each of ABC’s other three Wednesday comedies landed among the Top 5 series on the night with The Goldbergs (1.7/6), Speechless (1.6/5) and black-ish (1.7/5) outdelivering NBC’s entire drama lineup (Blindspot = 1.1/4, L&O: SVU = 1.4/4 and Chicago PD = 1.3/4) and trailing only Survivor on CBS (1.8/6).

    · Season to date, ABC is up 19% on Wednesday in Adults 18-49 to deliver its best start to the season on the night in 3 years – since Fall 2013.

On average, Designated Survivor leads the season in Live + 7 Day TV Playback, spiking over its L+SD numbers by +7.6 million Total Viewers and by +2.1 rating points among Adults 18-49. Building its audience by more than +7.0 million viewers on each of its first three telecasts over L+SD, the new ABC drama claims TV’s three largest-ever Total Viewer L+7 increases on any network. On average in Adults 18-49 (3.7/13 – Most Current), Designated Survivor is ABC’s top-rated series in Wednesday’s 10 o’clock hour in 10 years – since Lost during the 2006-07 season.

  4. To be honest, with the Cubs in the World Series, I was expecting higher numbers due to the curiosity factor alone.

    • Not really I didn’t expect to see a surge until the series gets to 6-7 games or there’s a clinch on the line for the Cubs because the Boston series in 2004 was the same way, the deeper the series the stronger the numbers got.

  5. black ish’s halloween episode was hilarious last night. Loved it!

Looks like there won’t be a clear winner of Wednesday at 10PM after all. Curious where this leads.

  6. Survivor beats everything non-baseball…

That tells you all there is to know about the paucity of the scripted shows.
