UPtv Acquires Drama ‘The Librarians’

A Total of 42 Episodes Were Produced

Family friendly UPtv has acquired the rights to scripted drama “The Librarians.” Debuting on TNT on December 7, 2014, the series follows four people, Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn), who is chosen by the Library to be the new Guardian, as well as Ezekiel, Cassandra and Jacob, who were asked to apply to the Library to become The Librarian, but for some reason didn’t show up to the “auditions.” In their place, the current Librarian Flynn Carsen (Noah Wylie) is searching for the Library (which is lost in time and space during the pilot). The four become a new team of Librarians in order to solve impossible mysteries, recover powerful artifacts, and fight against supernatural threats.

Forty-two episodes of “The Librarian” were produced in its four season run.

“The Librarian” will launch on UPtv on Wednesday, March 13 at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET. The network will debut the episodes as special extended editions never before seen on television that will also include extras such as bonus content and behind-the-scenes interviews with cast and crew.

“The Librarians “joins the previously acquired “The Librarian” movie series as part of the network’s offering.
