Wednesday Final Nationals: No Great First Impression for ‘Second Chance’ on Fox

In a close battle for the total viewers crown on Wednesday night among CBS, NBC and Fox, it was NBC that emerged victorious with 7.84 million total viewers.

Fox took key demos honors thanks to “American Idol”. However, their new drama “Second Chance” did not take well advantage of its “Idol” lead-in, retaining just 48 percent of each total viewers and adults 18-49, 44 percent of adults 18-34 and 47 percent of adults 25-54.

The season finale of FX’s “American Horror Story: Hotel” starring freshly-minted Golden Globe Award winner Lady Gaga scored the night’s best adults 18-49 delivery (1.15 rating) among all cable entries.
