At a session yesterday at The Press Tour with the stars and producers of “The X-Files,” Gillian Anderson has confirmed that this current batch of 10-episodes will be her last as Dana Scully.

Tops in the 9 p.m. hour was a tie between “SEAL Team” on CBS and NBC granddaddy “Law & Order: SVU,” each at a 4.1/ 7. Opposite it was week two of Fox procedural “9-1-1” at a 3.9/ 6, which built from lead-in “The X-Files” by 39 percent and it was 22 percent above year-ago time period occupant “Star” (3.2/ 5 on 1/11/17). Last week, “9-1-1” opened with a 4.8/ 8.

On ABC, “Modern Family” reached the 200-episode mark with a typical 4.0/ 6 in the household overnights in the 9 p.m. half-hour (#3), leading into a 2.8/ 5 for sophomore “American Housewife” at 9:30 p.m. (2.8/ 5). Comparably, “American Housewife” slipped by 30 percent from “Modern Family.”
