Wednesday Ratings: CBS and NBC Top Night; ABC Specials Offer Modest Competition

There were four season finales last night: CBS’ veteran “Survivor” (see network averages above) and the “Chicago Trio” on NBC as follows:

Wednesday/NBC
8:00 p.m. – “Chicago Med”
Viewers: 6.18 million (#1), A18-49: 0.6 rating/5 share (#2)

9:00 p.m. – “Chicago Fire”
Viewers: 6.80 million (#1 for the night), A18-49: 0.8/ 6 (#1 for the night)

10:00 p.m. – “Chicago PD”
Viewers: 5.83 million (#1), A18-49: 0.7/ 6 (#1)

Consider these results for both CBS and NBC positive, and you can expect more of the same next season.

In season premiere news was “Masterchef” on Fox (Viewers: #4, 1.68 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.3/ 3 at 8 p.m.), which led into “So You Think You Can Dance” at an abysmal 1.24 million viewers (#4) and a 0.2/ 2 (#4) in the demo at 9 p.m.

In the specials department on ABC was “The Great American Tag Sale With Martha Stewart” (Viewers: #3, 2.82 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.3/ 3 at 8 p.m.) and “The Great American Dog Show” (Viewers: #3, 2.10 million; A18-49: #4, 0.2/ 2 from 9-11 p.m.).

The CW capped off this final Wednesday in May with diluted dramas “The Flash” (Viewers: 574,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and “Kung Fu” (Viewers: 471,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 0), which remained the No. 5 options.
