Wednesday 3/10/21 Fast Nationals

Total Viewers
NBC: 6.65 million, Fox: 4.26, CBS: 2.96, ABC: 1.81, CW: 537,000

Adults 18-49:
Fox: 1.0 rating/6 share, NBC: 0.9. 6, CBS: 0.4/ 2, ABC: 0.3/ 2, CW: 0.1/ 1

In series-premiere news, “Game of Talents” on NBC squandered the lead-in support from the season-opening episode of “The Masked Singer.” It averaged 3.10 million viewers (#3) and a 0.7 rating/5 share (#2) in the Wednesday 9 p.m. ET hour, which out of “The Masked Singer” (Viewers: #2, 5.42 million; A18-49: #1; 1.2/ 8 at 8 p.m.) dipped by 2.32 million viewers and 42 percent in the demo. Since most new shows decline by 10 to 20 percent in week two, this is by no means a positive start for “Game of Talents.”

NBC was back in the midweek winner’s circle in total viewers thanks to the “Chicago” trio: “Chicago Med” (Viewers: #1, 7.34 million; #2, 1.0 rating/6 share at 8 p.m.); “Chicago Fire” (Viewers: #1, 6.85 million; A18-49: #1, 0.9/ 6 at 9 p.m.); and “Chicago PD” (Viewers: #1, 5.75 million; A18-49: #3, 0.8/ 6 at 10 p.m.). The compatibility between the three series is flawless.

Elsewhere, ABC’s recently returning “The Con” finished a distant third at 10 p.m., with just 1.67 million viewers and a 0.2/ 2 in adults 18-49. CBS competition series “Tough As Nails” (Viewers: #3, 2.78 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.4/ 2 at 8 p.m.) does not live up to it title. Eye net 9-11 p.m. lead-out dramas “SEAL Team” (Viewers: #2, 3.38 million; A18-49: #3, 0.4/ 3) and “S.W.A.T.” (Viewers: #3, 2.71 million; A18-49: #3, 0.3/ 2) cannot compete with NBC’s “Chicago” franchise. The CW’s “Riverdale” and “Nancy Drew” do not register via the traditional Nielsen ratings (see averages above). And ABC’s Wednesday 8-10 p.m. sitcom block was in repeats.
