Winners Announced for the 70th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards

The ceremonies for the 70th annual Creative Emmy Awards, recognizing technical and other achievements in U.S. television programming, took place on Saturday and Sunday (Sep. 8-9, 2018) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Calif.

The Emmys made history as all four guest acting categories were won by African-American actors: Katt Williams, Tiffany Haddish, Ron Cephas Jones, and Samira Wiley.

As co-producer of the Emmy-winning musical “Jesus Christ Superstar”, musician John Legend accomplished the EGOT — winning at least one Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony in a career, being only the thirteenth person to ever do so; also, the youngest to have ever fully accomplished EGOT.

“Game of Thrones”, “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story”, “Last Week Tonight”, “Parts Unknown” (hosted by the late Anthony Bourdain), “Saturday Night Live”, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and Netflix’s “Queer Eye” each earned multiple Emmys at the two-night event.
