Fox Cuts ‘Making History’ Midseason Episode Order

Order Order for 13 Episodes Has Been Reduced to 9

Upcoming midseason Fox sitcom “Making History,” with Adam Pally as a brilliant, dorky professor who basically invents a time-traveling device that allows him to court young women in the past, has had its episode ordered reduced by the network from 13 to 9 episodes. The reasoning, according to Fox, is the timing, with the network claiming it does not need as many episodes for its spring slate as originally ordered. But no new series has its episode ordered slashed unless the network is not satisfied with what it is seeing.

Executive-produced by “Last Man on Earth” producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, “Making History” centers on three friends who find a way to travel through time in search of truth, justice, and riches, which complicates their lives in 2016. They visit some of the greatest moments of the past as they try to resolve their personal problems, while history and pop culture comically collide. Leighton Meester (“Gossip Girl”) also stars.
