-Ratings Breakdown:
Dominant Fox finished well above the competition care of game two of “The World Series,” with Houston’s 7 to 6 victory over the Dodgers in 11 innings netting an average 9.9 rating/17 share in the household overnights in primetime. Note: The end time for the game was approximately 12:37 a.m. and results past 11 p.m. ET are not factored in this average. Comparably, however, this was still 20 percent below (based on primetime) the year-ago game two match-up between the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians.

Over at CBS, warhorse “Survivor” was not negatively impacted by baseball, with a consistent 5.1/ 8 at 8 p.m. And that led into 9-11 p.m. ET dramas “SEAL Team” (#2: 4.3/ 7) and “Criminal Minds” (#3: 3.8/ 7), which were each slighly below average. While “SEAL Team” bested NBC’s competing “Law & Order: SVU” (#3: 4.0/ 7) by 8 percent, “Criminal Minds” trailed competing “Chicago PD” (#2: 4.2/ 8), also on NBC, by 10 percent.

Earlier in the evening on NBC was relocated “The Blacklist” at a third-place 3.6/ 6 at 8 p.m., which remains on par with year-ago time period occupant “Blindspot.”

Elsewhere, the 100th episode of demo friendly ABC sitcom “The Goldbergs” (#4: 3.5/ 6) led into a 2.8/ 4 (#4) for “Speechless” at 8:30 p.m., which slipped by 20 percent. “Modern Family” perked up to a 4.1/ 6 (#3) at 9 p.m., which was still 20 percent below the 5.1/ 8 on the year-ago evening. And it led into a 2.9 5 (#4) for sophomore “American Housewife,” which is not fitting in all that well at 9:30 p.m.

At 10 p.m. on ABC was sophomore “Designated Survivor” at a last-place 2.8/ 5, which dropped by a significant 38 percent from the 4.5/ 8 one year earlier.

The CW, meanwhile, featured social media magnet “Riverdale” (#5: 1.1/ 2 at 8 p.m.) into a series-low 0.6/ 1 for the revival for “Dynasty” (#5), which could not even match failed year-ago time period occupant “Frequency” (0.7/ 1 on 10/26/16).
