A study showed that an active social gamer plays every two days, while a very active online gambler plays for real money once every four days. That said, social gamers have a level of participation that’s two times higher than when real-money gamblers are concerned.

The same study came to another interesting conclusion, which is that social media gamblers will continue playing after making a one-time payment. In fact, about 60% of the so-called one-time deposit gamers or OTDs, will continue playing social casino games after the initial deposit is spent.

In comparison, players who try themselves in online casinos for real money usually end up quitting after gambling away their first deposit. Actually, only about 7% of them will continue playing after spending their first deposit. Social gamers also tend to stick to playing a game much longer than gamblers. About 50% of players will remain active six months after starting their social casino adventure. When it comes to those who play games of chance for real money, only about 8% of them will become regulars.
