Disney Channel Announces ‘That’s So Raven’ Spin-Off

Disney Channel and Raven-Symoné are developing and beginning preliminary casting for a family sitcom that will continue the story of her character from 2003-07 Disney Channel sitcom “That’s So Raven.” Raven will both executive produce and reprise her role of Raven Baxter, who in the original series drew on her psychic powers, ingenuity, and talent as a fashion designer as well as a variety of disguises to get into and out of amusing adolescent and pre-adolescent situations in San Francisco.

Longtime writer/producer partners Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff (Disney Channel’s “Best Friends Whenever,” Emmy nominees for “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour”) are working on the development of the untitled spin-off series.

This will be the second show to come from “That’s So Raven.” The first, sitcom “Cory in the House,” featured Kyle Massey and aired on Disney Channel from 2007-08.
