Freeform Renews ‘Young & Hungry’ for Season Five

50 Episodes, to-Date, Have Aired

Freeform has picked up a fifth season of original comedy series “Young & Hungry,” which will kick off production next week and will premiere in 2017. Debuting on June 25, 2014, the San Francisco based sitcom focuses on a wealthy entrepreneur named Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) who hires a food blogger named Gabi (Emily Osment) to be his new personal chef. The series follows the couple and their friends after the couple’s one-night stand dilemma.

To-date, 50 episodes of “Young & Hungry” have aired, with the fourth season finale this past August 3rd. There is no confirmation on the number of new episodes ordered, but the assumption is 10.

“Young & Hungry” is produced by David Holden, Ashley Tisdale, Jessica Rhoades, Caryn Lucas, and Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum in association with CBS Television Studios.
