Tom Brady makes his Tampa Buccaneers debut in this Week 1 tilt against the Nea Orleans Saints (Sep. 13 @ 4:25 PM ET, Fox). Brady suits up for a different franchise after 20 seasons, 326 total games and six Super Bowl championships with New England. Saints quarterback Drew Brees starts his 20th NFL campaign. Never before have two starting quarterbacks over the age of 40 competed against each other. Brady and Brees are 1-2 all-time in passing touchdowns and passing yards. In addition, the freshly un-retired Rob Gronkowski is also in the mix, joining Brady on the Bucs.
The Los Angeles Rams open up SoFi Stadium by hosting the Dallas Cowboys (Sep. 13 @ 8:20 PM ET, NBC). Dallas finished 2019 at 8-8 and with the best points-scored differential of any team that failed to qualify for the playoffs. Los Angeles finished seventh in the NFC following a 9-7 campaign.
Ben Roethlisberger returns under center for the Steelers when they face the Giants (Sep. 14 @ 7:10 PM ET, ESPN) to begin a Week 1 Monday night double feature. Roethlisberger suffered a season-ending elbow injury in Week 2 and Pittsburgh struggled to an 8-8 record in 2019. ESPN’s premier college football announcing duo of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit both will call their first-ever NFL telecast.
The new “Monday Night Football” announcing team of Steve Levy, Louis Riddick and Brian Griese makes their 2020 debut with Tennessee Titans at Denver Broncos (Sep. 14 @ 10:20 PM ET, ESPN).
