NBC Picks Up Sitcoms ‘Powerless’ and ‘Trial & Error’

NBC, which unveils its programming plans for next season this Monday, has announced the pick-up of single camera sitcoms “Powerless” and “Trial and Error.” Powerless” is the first comedy series set in the universe of DC Comics, and it features Vanessa Hudgens (“Grease Live,” “High School Musical”) as a spunky young insurance adjuster specializing in regular-people coverage against damage caused by the crime-fighting superheroes. “Trial & Error” follows bright-eyed New York lawyer Josh Segal who heads to a tiny Southern town to defend an eccentric poetry professor accused of the bizarre murder of his beloved wife. It stars John Lithgow, Nicholas D’Agosto, Jayma Mays, Sherri Shepherd, Steven Boyer and Krysta Rodriguez. Both projects are from Warner Bros. TV.
