CBS Pulls ‘Survivor’ This Fall; ‘The Amazing Race’ to Fill the Wednesday 8 p.m. ET Hour

Returning 'S.W.A.T" Pushed Up From Midseason to Fill the Wednesday 10 p.m. ET Time Period

CBS has removed the 41st edition of veteran “Survivor” off its Wednesday line-up this fall due to a delay in filming in Fiji caused by COVID-19 and will replace it in the 8 p.m. ET hour with “The Amazing Race,” which filmed the next edition prior to the pandemic and was originally scheduled for Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET. The network said that producers are continuing to work with officials in Fiji on the “appropriate time” to start production with health and safety matters its top priority.

Returning drama “SEAL Team” will now air in the Wednesday 9 p.m. ET time period, followed by “S.W.A.T.,” which was originally being held back until midseason.

Of course, CBS, as well as the other networks, may not even have a fall TV season due to the massive production delays. At present, there is still no word on the return of “Big Brother” this summer.
