Drama ‘Inkwell’ Put Into Development at HBO Max

HBO Max is developing a drama called “Inkwell,” which will follow a group of affluent Black surfers that suddenly find themselves catapulted into a battle against a mysterious dark superpower consuming the country. The potential series comes from Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz under their Gloaming Productions banner.

Bush and Renz wrote, directed, and produced the 2020 Lionsgate thriller “Antebellum” starring Janelle Monae, and are working on their upcoming Lionsgate film “Rapture,” which follows a family who is torn apart by warring beliefs and must come together to unravel the mystery around the sudden vanishing of the global population.
