HBO Cancels Teen Comedy ‘Betty’

12 Episodes of 'Betty' Were Produced in Total

HBO has opted against a third season of teen comedy “Betty”, which in two seasons produced 12 episodes. Created by Crystal Moselle, “Betty” was based on Moselle’s 2018 film “Skate Kitchen.” It included most of the cast of the original movie, and focused on the Gen Z all-girl group’s efforts to stand out in New York’s predominantly male world of skateboarding.

“Betty” starred Dede Lovelace, Kabrina Adams, Nina Moran, Ajani Russell, and Rachelle Vinberg. Moselle directed each episode of the show and exec produced with Igor Srubshchik, Jason Weinberg and Alliah Mourad.
