‘Last Man Standing’ to Conclude on Fox in 2021

Nine Seasons in Total Will Have Aired -- Six on ABC and Three on Fox

Tim Allen sitcom “Last Man Standing,” which relocated to Fox in September 2018 after six seasons on ABC, will conclude after its upcoming ninth season on Fox beginning in January. When the series ends, it will have filmed 194 episodes in total – six seasons on ABC and three seasons on Fox. Allen’s prior hit sitcom, “Home Improvement,” aired for eight seasons on ABC (from 1991 to 1999).

In a statement, Allen said he had intended to sign off last spring after the second revival season, but “together with Fox, we decided to add a year so we could produce a full season to create the gentle and fun goodbye.”

“Last Man Standing” from Twentieth Television is currently Fox’s only returning live-action comedy. The network has straight-to-series comedy series “Call Me Kat,” starring Mayim Bialik and executive-produced by Bialik and Jim Parsons, launching in midseason.
