‘Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade’ on NBC Rises to 12-Year High

The Annual Celebration Now the Most-Watched Entertainment Telecast This Season

Based on the metered market results, the annual telecast of the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade” on NBC, hosted by “Today’s” Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker, rose to a 7.0 rating/25 share in adults 18-49 (based on the 25 markets with local people meters) on Thursday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Comparably, this was its highest rating in the demo in 12 years. Results in households was a stellar 12.6 rating/27 share, which is now the highest rating for any entertainment telecast on the broadcast networks so far this season.

At noon on NBC, “The National Dog Show Presented by Purina,” hosted by John O’Hurley, scored it’s best-ever 18-49 rating in in the Local People Meters, with a 3.0/12. Results in households was a 5.8/13, which was the second-highest rating for the “National Dog Show” in 11 years (trailing the 6.0/14 in 2013).
