NBC Renews ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ for 2020-21

This Will Mark 8 Seasons Overall, and 3 on NBC

Prior to returning for its seventh season overall (and second on NBC) on Feb. 6, 2020, the Peacock net has greenlit perennial low-rated sitcom “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” for the 2020-21 TV season.

Last season “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” averaged 3.2 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in adults 18-49 overall in the Live+Same Day ratings from Nielsens. After 35 days of linear and digital delayed viewing, the comedy rose to 6.4 million viewers and a 3.1 rating in the demo. While never a ratings success on both Fox (from 2013 to 2018) or on NBC at present, the critics have been universally positive.

“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio, Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller. Dan Goor, Mike Schur, David Miner and Luke Del Tredici executive produce. The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content Studios, Fremulon, Dr. Goor Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment.
